Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stated he would not obstruct any vote of no confidence in Parliament, emphasizing that the democratic process should be respected.
Anwar: Government Will Allow No-Confidence Vote If Tabled
He said Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul has been instructed to allow such a motion if submitted. Anwar warned against unconstitutional attempts to topple the government, calling them unlawful and destabilizing.
Despite recent opposition meetings, no no-confidence motion has been filed. Meanwhile, authorities expect up to 15,000 participants at the upcoming “Himpunan Turun Anwar” rally on July 26. Civil servants have been warned not to join, citing loyalty to the country.
