Malaysia Eyes Blockchain Leadership with Launch of MBI Platform
At Malaysia Blockchain Week 2025, Minister Chang Lih Kang launched the Malaysia Blockchain Infrastructure (MBI) to address issues of cost, fragmentation, and interoperability. The MBI is designed to improve transparency, trust, and accessibility, especially for startups and SMEs.
It supports the National Blockchain Roadmap 2021–2025, which has achieved 60% of its targets. The initiative reflects Malaysia’s commitment to becoming a regional leader in blockchain innovation and digital transformation.
