PUTRAJAYA – Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar has reminded civil servants not to participate in the upcoming ‘Himpunan Turun Anwar’ rally on July 26 in Kuala Lumpur. He said joining such gatherings goes against the principle of ‘Loyalty to King and Country’ under the Rukun Negara. “They shouldn’t go. They are civil servants, how can they join?” he told reporters after launching an ANSARA Malaysia event today. Police expect 10,000 to 15,000 participants at the rally, while Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution assured police would facilitate it professionally under the Peaceful Assembly Act.
