A student group has slammed Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN) Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar for prohibiting civil servants from joining a protest demanding Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s resignation this Saturday. 

Student Group Slams KSN Over Protest Ban on Civil Servants

The National Youth Federation, led by Hamdin Nordin, accused Shamsul of misinterpreting the Rukun Negara and ignoring constitutional rights.

Hamdin argued that freedom of assembly and speech are guaranteed under Article 10 of the Federal Constitution and that the supremacy of the Constitution must be upheld. He urged Shamsul to resign if he did not understand these core principles, saying his actions bring shame to the civil service.
