Recently, there have been discussions on how bus drivers are severely underpaid. However, it seems those who are driving the buses to Singapore are getting their salaries slashed. This then led to 100 of them protesting this salary decrease from RM2,800 to RM2,000.

BFM News on X states that this has led to thousands of Malaysians working in Singapore stranded in JB. Furthermore, social media users appear to be siding with the drivers citing that they should not work harder for less, and their work should be respected. 

Some users say it’s time for autonomous buses, meaning driverless ones. Others found the comment to be rather insensitive as this is the livelihood of many who are supporting their families with their salaries.
