Political analysts have cautioned Muda against joining Bersatu’s proposed “united opposition front,” warning it could alienate its core urban, liberal supporters. Oh Ei Sun said Muda’s urban middle-class backers oppose Perikatan Nasional’s conservative leanings, while USM’s Azmil Tayeb argued such an alliance would tarnish Muda’s image as a moderate, multiracial party. Both highlighted that aligning with far-right parties like Berjasa and Putra, included in the pact, could harm Muda’s credibility.
