KUALA LUMPUR: Police shot two foreign men believed to be leaders of a major robbery syndicate during a pre-dawn operation in Cheras today. Federal CID acting director Datuk Fadil Marsus said the men were suspected masterminds behind over 50 robberies across five states, causing losses exceeding RM3 million. The 3.45 am confrontation occurred when the suspects, travelling in a stolen Honda Civic, resisted interception. Police recovered a revolver, semi-automatic pistol, drugs, and housebreaking tools from the vehicle. Authorities are pursuing other syndicate members and urge anyone with information to assist in the ongoing investigation.
