Tealive has issued a public apology after a customer’s personal information was allegedly leaked following a service complaint. The bubble tea chain admitted that a screenshot containing the customer’s contact details was mistakenly shared with outlet staff, prompting an unauthorised WhatsApp message from an unknown individual defending the staff. Tealive stated this breached its SOPs and does not reflect its brand values. The company pledged a full inquiry, disciplinary action against those involved, and an immediate review of its internal procedures. It also committed to enhancing staff training to safeguard customer privacy and prevent similar incidents in the future.
