Perikatan Nasional chief Muhyiddin Yassin has called on Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to step down, citing public sentiment expressed in the recent “Turun Anwar” rally. Reminding Anwar of his own words—that the voice of the people is sacred—Muhyiddin said that voice now demands his resignation. Hailing the protest as a peaceful success, he praised PN Youth and rally organisers for their role. Urimai chairperson P. Ramasamy echoed the sentiment, calling the turnout a “virtual ocean of crowd” and likening Anwar’s current experience to “tasting his own medicine” from his past reformasi days—only now, the medicine “turns sour.”
