These officers allegedly approved over 20,000 medical visas for foreigners despite incomplete or non-compliant documents, violating Malaysian immigration procedures. The syndicate reportedly charged RM4,500 per visa.

EAIC’s special task force seized 150 files and summoned over 10 officers, identifying key suspects including a senior JIM officer known as “Tok Yah” and businessman “DK”. Charges may be filed under the Penal Code, Immigration Act, and Passport Act. Investigations are ongoing, with broader systemic failures being scrutinised.
