Manila, Philippines – On July 25, 2025, a high-level media interaction was held in anticipation of the upcoming Philippine Solar and Power Expo 2025, which will take place from July 29 to 31 at the SMX Convention Center in Manila. Co-located with the Philippine Construction and Ceramics Expo, the event will serve as a comprehensive platform for renewable energy, power, electric vehicles (EVs), construction, and ceramic innovation.
Organized by Genesis Global Exhibition, Astrovision, and ACE Group, the expo is expected to draw key stakeholders from across Southeast Asia. The event will spotlight regional innovation, clean energy transition strategies, and infrastructure development.
Key Highlights from the Media Interaction
Mr. Johnny Chotrani, Chairman of the Philippine-India Business Council, opened the press conference by emphasizing the growing potential of India–Philippines collaboration in the energy sector. “This expo highlights the growing bilateral synergy. Our shared commitment to clean energy is the foundation for broader trade and infrastructure collaboration,” said Mr. Chotrani.
Ms. Maria Theresa “Tetchi” Cruz Capellan, Chairperson of the Steering Committee of the Asian Photovoltaic Industry Association, Chairperson of the Philippine Solar and Storage Energy Alliance (PSSEA), and President & CEO of SUNASIA Energy Inc., spoke on the expo’s relevance:
