PETALING JAYA: Former economy minister Rafizi Ramli has expressed his desire to lead the education ministry, saying it is the most crucial portfolio for Malaysia’s future. Speaking on the Yang Berhenti Menteri podcast, the Pandan MP said real change begins with shaping values through education, not just institutional reforms. He acknowledged that his outspoken nature might make the idea unpopular but stressed the urgency of reforming the system to break Malaysia’s culture of corruption. Rafizi also reiterated his frequent criticism of current education minister Fadhlina Sidek, citing lack of bold policy shifts.
