RAUB: UMNO president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has urged party members to uphold unity and responsible leadership, even when faced with unpopular decisions. Speaking at the Raub UMNO division meeting, Zahid said tough choices are necessary to ensure national stability. He reminded members that every position in party or government is a trust to be carried with integrity. Citing UMNO and Barisan Nasional’s defeats in the last two general elections, he called for internal reform and an end to infighting. Zahid also warned against actions that could destabilise the current unity government, of which UMNO is a part.
