KANGAR: Perlis PAS Youth Chief Haziq Asyraf Dun has criticised Indera Kayangan assemblywoman Gan Ay Ling for defending the federal government with what he called “pleasant statistics” that ignore grassroots realities. Haziq said figures mean little if elected reps fail to engage with the people directly. He dismissed the recent 6 sen petrol price drop as routine market adjustment, not a major achievement. He also accused Gan of attempting to take credit for reviving the stalled Perlis Sports School project. Haziq highlighted state-led economic initiatives attracting RM1.8 billion in investments, urging Gan to recognise Perlis’s development efforts instead of politicking.
