Malaysia is set to launch the National Integrated Immigration System (NIISe) in phases beginning March 2026, aimed at strengthening border security through cutting-edge technology. The system will utilize artificial intelligence (AI), including facial, fingerprint, and iris recognition under the Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS), to verify travellers.

An AI chatbot will assist both officers and the public.
