Social media users are asking several questions regarding the highway concessionaires which will be paid by the government in lieu of the toll prices not increasing. Netizens say this could’ve been used to upgrade schools or provide government hospitals with more facilities.
X users asking why RM569 million is used for toll concessions and not for other facilities
Netizens are making accusations towards the government. An X user adds that the RM569 million equates to RM1.5 million being paid to these highway companies on a daily basis, on top of the existing amount they’re collecting via tolls.
Others state that our PMX has no control over existing contracts, especially with contracts that were signed well before he was Prime Minister.
