Pejuang president Mukhriz Mahathir has launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, accusing him of recycling baseless corruption allegations against his father, Dr Mahathir Mohamad. In a fiery Facebook post, Mukhriz dismantled Anwar’s claims with a series of pointed rhetorical questions, highlighting past alliances and Anwar’s own reliance on Mahathir’s support. He questioned Anwar’s credibility as an anti-corruption crusader, citing controversial appointments, including Zahid Hamidi and Nurul Izzah. Mukhriz accused Anwar of deflecting attention from a floundering economy and warned, “The people are not fooled.” His message ended with a blunt demand: “Step down, Anwar.”
