KUALA LUMPUR: Former MCA president Dr Chua Soi Lek has called on the party to leave Barisan Nasional if it is barred from contesting seats lost twice, warning MCA could be reduced to just two parliamentary seats. Speaking on a Chinese-language podcast, Chua stressed the need for a strong justification if MCA exits, saying “you can’t just be a fake hero.” He also took swipes at past leaders, including Liow Tiong Lai, for reversing decisions and lacking courage. As grassroots reject cooperation with DAP, MCA’s leadership may decide its future at the Nov 2 AGM.
