PETALING JAYA: The Teoh Beng Hock Association for Democratic Advancement has successfully surpassed its crowdfunding goal, raising RM122,377—more than double its RM50,000 target—for a UN advocacy trip to Geneva. Within 24 hours, RM83,302 was donated to support Teoh Lee Lan’s effort to file a human rights complaint with the UN Special Rapporteurs regarding her brother Beng Hock’s 2009 death. The association thanked the public for the overwhelming support and announced the campaign’s closure. Surplus funds will be used for public forums and annual memorial events to continue raising awareness of the unresolved case.
