Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has dismissed calls for his resignation, claiming they come from individuals facing corruption charges who hope to escape prosecution. Speaking at the Mega 3D Carnival 2025 launch, Anwar stressed his unwavering stand against graft and vowed that stolen national funds must be returned. He also defended Malaysia’s fuel subsidy system, noting RON95 now costs just RM1.99 per litre—lower than in other ASEAN countries. Anwar said wealthy foreigners and high-income earners should pay more for fuel, rejecting criticism that the policy is unfair. “I have a mandate, and I won’t compromise on corruption,” he affirmed.
