KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 3 — Johor and Singapore are exploring the introduction of cross-border e-hailing services to improve mobility and reduce congestion at the Johor Causeway. Johor Menteri Besar Onn Hafiz Ghazi said the proposal was discussed with Singapore’s Acting Transport Minister Jeffrey Siow. The initiative could offer flexible travel options, generate income for local drivers, and strengthen transport integration. Discussions also covered the Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link project, set to launch in January 2027, as well as proposals to increase cross-border buses and start services earlier than the current 5am schedule for smoother traffic flow.
