PAS has reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the rights of Sabahans if given a mandate in the upcoming 17th state election. Secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan said the party remains steadfast in issues such as MA63 implementation, rural development, and poverty alleviation. He highlighted his role in past federal-state cooperation as law minister, stressing that PAS’ mission continues despite being in the opposition. Emphasising an inclusive approach, he assured Sabahans of PAS’ respect for the state’s multiracial and multireligious makeup. “Islam ensures justice for all,” he said, pledging a governance style focused on unity, social harmony, and welfare for all Sabahans.
