MCA Youth has strongly criticised the repeated breakdowns of the KLIA Aerotrain since its relaunch on July 1, despite a RM456 million refurbishment. Secretary General Saw Yee Fung questioned whether such service disruptions reflect the standard expected of a high-cost project. With at least five incidents in just over a month, MCA is calling on the Ministry of Transport to establish a special committee to investigate the failures. The group warned that the ongoing issues are damaging Malaysia’s global image and demanded full transparency and immediate corrective action to restore public confidence in the airport’s infrastructure.
