A child psychologist testified in the Sessions Court that medical reports showed no signs of neglect or abuse involving the late Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matin. Dr Noor Aishah Rosli, reviewing documents from Selayang and Sungai Buloh Hospitals, stated the reports did not indicate mistreatment. She explained that neglect must be consistent and defined by emotional, physical, or educational deprivation. Ismanira Abdul Manaf faces charges of child neglect under the Child Act 2001, while her husband has been acquitted. The charge cites potential injury, but Dr Noor Aishah highlighted the uncertainty implied by the word “likely” and lack of specifics in the charge.
