DAP Women has condemned the Negeri Sembilan DAP Veterans Club for using sanitary pads to mock party leaders during a protest over a senator appointment. Wing chief Teo Nie Ching criticised the act for perpetuating menstrual stigma and undermining efforts to address period poverty. At a press conference, club members wore “sanitary pad masks” to symbolise alleged silence by state leaders, including Anthony Loke, over the appointment of Johor native Vincent Wu. Teo and Federal Territories DAP Women called the act disrespectful, urging members to uphold party values and avoid using women’s necessities as political props or tools of ridicule.
