Malaysia has sought clarification from the United States regarding a proposed 100% tariff on semiconductor chips manufactured in countries without US-based facilities. Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz said the ministry has contacted the US Trade Representative and Department of Commerce to better understand the policy.
