Intel Corp CEO Tan Lip-Bu has dismissed US President Donald Trump’s call for his resignation, saying he has the full backing of the company’s board. The Malaysian-born executive said he is engaging with the White House to address what he described as “misinformation” about his track record and ties to China. Trump’s comments followed Republican senator Tom Cotton’s request for Intel’s board to clarify Tan’s past business links, including investments in Chinese semiconductor firms. Tan stressed that in over 40 years in the industry, he has adhered to the highest legal and ethical standards while building global relationships.
