KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 12 — The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will open online bidding for the special “SIS” vehicle plate series from August 15 to 19 via its JPJeBid system, in honour of the Sultan of Selangor’s Silver Jubilee in 2026. “SIS” stands for Sultan Idris Shah, marking Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah’s 25 years on the throne. Results will be announced on August 20, and successful bids must be registered to a vehicle within 12 months. The auction is open to the public as part of JPJ’s push for a transparent, accessible platform for securing special registration numbers.
