WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump met Monday with Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan, days after urging him to resign over alleged conflicts. The meeting, also attended by Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, marked a sharp shift in tone. “His success and rise is an amazing story,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. Intel confirmed the discussion focused on strengthening U.S. tech and manufacturing. Tan, who became CEO in March, faces scrutiny from Sen. Tom Cotton over ties to China. Intel shares rose 2% in extended trading following news of the meeting.
