The case involves businessperson Feng Jin Zhen, who said the incident was unintentional while measuring a pole. Police have completed their investigation under multiple laws and referred the case to prosecutors. Lawyers for Liberty director Zaid Malek accused Akmal of “bullying” and promoting vigilantism, urging debate over intimidation. The flag blunder went viral after a 20-second video surfaced on Facebook.
