In what could be described as Britain’s hottest crime of the week, four mystery men turned a £200 Indian banquet into a full-blown Olympic sprint at Saffron restaurant in Northampton.
CCTV captured the quartet enjoying their curries, naan, and (presumably) life choices—before bolting out the door faster than you can say “chicken tikka masala.” A heroic waiter gave chase, but alas, the thieves had both a head start and a lighter stomach after polishing off the mango lassi.
Curry Criminals
“This isn’t just theft, it’s an attack on hardworking small businesses—and our onion bhajis,” the restaurant lamented on Facebook.
Northamptonshire Police are now hunting the fugitives, warning that anyone who spots them should approach with caution—they may still be armed with dangerous levels of garlic breath.
If caught, the suspects may face justice… and possibly the bill, with interest.
