PETALING JAYA – Perikatan Nasional (PN) Youth chief Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden has named five coalition leaders as potential prime minister candidates for the 16th general election. From PAS, he listed president Abdul Hadi Awang, deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, and vice-presidents Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar and Idris Ahmad. Representing Bersatu, he named opposition leader and deputy president Hamzah Zainudin. Speaking on Harakah Daily’s podcast, Afnan said PAS has the most MPs, but Hamzah’s role as opposition leader makes him a strong contender. PN has yet to decide its official candidate, promising a decision only if it wins Putrajaya.
