Immigration Union Condemns KLIA Assault on Officer by Chinese National

KUALA LUMPUR — The Immigration Services Union of Peninsular Malaysia has condemned the assault on a female immigration officer at KLIA Terminal 1 on Thursday night. Union president Ajeet Singh urged the Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (MCBA) to enhance safety measures for officers and travellers.

At 7.40pm, a Chinese national, accompanied by a man and two children, allegedly became aggressive during a departure check after no entry records were found. The woman reportedly hurled abuse, pulled the officer’s headscarf, and pushed her head into a pillar. She was arrested and faces possible legal action for attacking a civil servant.
