KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 15 — Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli suggested the assault on his son may be tied to a recent meeting with whistleblowers about a scandal implicating an unnamed individual. While not naming anyone, Rafizi has recently urged an MACC probe into ex-aide to the prime minister, Farhash Wafa Salvador, over alleged coal mining links. He said the attack, followed by threats to his wife, appeared planned, involving days of surveillance. Rafizi believes the motive relates to his political work and information from whistleblowers. Police are investigating, reviewing CCTV footage and witness statements, but the suspect remains unidentified and fully disguised.
