A 10-year-old girl was found alone at 11pm on the roadside in Taman Belimbing Setia, Melaka, by a couple who later took her safely to the Durian Tunggal Police Station. Police investigations revealed she had run away after her foster mother told her to sleep early and denied her television time.

A video of the incident circulated online, prompting calls for her parents to come forward. Her family collected her an hour later. Acting Alor Gajah District Police Chief DSP Azrul Mohamed urged parents to strengthen communication with children, stressing that runaways often stem from emotional neglect and poor supervision.
