Former MCA vice-president Ti Lian Ker has dismissed claims that he is trying to “sanitise” PAS, stressing that his remarks were meant to save Barisan Nasional (BN), which he believes is being replaced with “UMDAP.” He accused Johor assembly speaker Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi of twisting his words.

“Since when did I sanitise PAS? I only pointed out that PAS Youth has lately been more courteous than UMNO Youth,” Ti said. He added, “But the one UMNO is trying to sanitise is DAP… that is explicit and certain!”
