KOTA KINABALU, Aug 17 — Police arrested a man in Tawau after he allegedly punched his wife for being late to unlock their rented room door. Police said the incident occurred around midnight on Saturday when the immigrant suspect, in his 30s, returned home and knocked. His wife, in her 50s, responded late, possibly because she was asleep, leading him to strike her on the arm. The woman lodged a police report, and the suspect was detained hours later. The case is being investigated under domestic violence laws and the Immigration Act 1959/63.
