Police have appealed for public assistance in investigating a case of extreme animal cruelty involving a dog that was skinned alive on its body and head in the Krubong industrial area, Melaka.
Animal Cruelty Case in Krubong Goes Viral, Police Launch Probe
The incident, which went viral on social media, was first discovered by animal NGO representatives on Friday afternoon. The dog, found with severe injuries, was rushed to a veterinary clinic but had to be euthanised due to critical infection and suffering.
Melaka Tengah police chief ACP Christopher Patit said the case is being investigated under Section 29 of the Animal Welfare Act 2015, which carries heavy fines and jail time.
