KUALA LUMPUR: Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has called on both Umno Youth and DAP Youth to stop their public quarrels, warning that such disputes risk damaging ties within the unity government. Without naming names, Zahid appeared to caution Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh against prioritising popularity over coalition harmony, stressing that party leadership decisions must be respected. He also reminded DAP Youth that political moves should not undermine the stability of the 18-party Madani government. Zahid, who is also deputy prime minister, emphasised that political actions should not be confused with legal processes.
