KUALA LUMPUR – Twelve opposition parties have united to form a loose coalition, pledging to address issues they claim the Madani government has neglected. Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia president Muhyiddin Yassin said the coalition’s official name will be announced later, but it includes PAS, Gerakan, Pejuang, and several smaller parties. Speaking after a joint opposition leaders’ meeting on Aug 18, Muhyiddin said the coalition will engage traders, entrepreneurs and community groups to propose solutions, particularly on rising living costs. He added the move was a preliminary step, with priority given to concerns overlooked in the 13th Malaysia Plan.
