The Home Ministry revealed that 100,646 foreign workers holding Temporary Work Visit Passes (PLKS) in Malaysia’s construction sector are untraceable after a screening exercise by the Construction Labour Exchange Centre Bhd (CLAB). 

CLAB Screening Finds 100,646 Foreign Workers in Malaysia Untraceable

Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the government will enforce strict measures and punitive actions against both errant employers and foreign workers who violate regulations. He explained that some workers may have misused their permits, while others failed to leave after their passes expired. 

Saifuddin stressed that those without valid passes must sign a check-out memo and exit the country, warning that enforcement will be intensified.
