Malaysian Advancement Party (MAP) president P Waythamoorthy has accused Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim of lying and committing sedition by falsely claiming he had labelled Malaysia a tyrannical state where police killed thousands of Indians. Waytha said Anwar’s remarks, made during a civil servants gathering, were an attempt to distract from challenges to his legitimacy as prime minister. He further condemned Anwar for implicating the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, calling it a reckless political move that undermines the monarchy and the constitutional order. Waytha denied Anwar’s claims, calling them malicious and dangerous to Malaysia’s democratic and social fabric.
