China has strongly criticised Washington’s move to impose tariffs of up to 50% on Indian goods, calling it “economic bullying” and pledging to stand firmly with New Delhi. Chinese Ambassador Xu Feihong stressed that India and China, as Asia’s “double engines of growth,” must cooperate for regional stability and global development.

He urged both countries to build trust, expand trade, and manage differences through dialogue. Following recent boundary talks in New Delhi, both sides agreed on new mechanisms for border management, trade resumption, and water cooperation. Beijing framed its support as part of building an “equal, multipolar world.”
