KUALA LUMPUR: Police have revealed that the phone number used to send threatening texts to the wife of Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli is registered to a foreigner. Inspector-General of Police Khalid Ismail said efforts are ongoing to trace the individual’s identity and nationality. Rafizi’s wife received the threats a day after their 12-year-old son was attacked with a syringe at a Putrajaya mall on Aug 13. CCTV footage showed two helmeted men following her car before the assault. Police have recorded 19 statements, including from the family and their driver, as investigations into the attack and threats continue.
