Police have submitted five investigation papers to the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) over cases of the national flag being displayed upside down ahead of National Day. Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail said six incidents were reported — two each in Johor and Penang, and one each in Selangor and Negeri Sembilan.

One case remains under investigation. He urged Malaysians to respect the law and safeguard harmony as the nation prepares for its independence celebrations.
The announcement came during a ceremony where the police received four Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) worth RM10.72 million from Global Komited Sdn Bhd.
The IAG Guardian vehicles, equipped with advanced communication and tactical safety features, will be deployed across Central, Northern, and Southeast Brigades to support patrols, escorts, rescue missions, and crisis response. Similar models are used by UN peacekeepers and global security agencies.
