Social media commentator Eric See-To, better known as Lim Sian See and a vocal supporter of former prime minister Najib Razak, has taken aim at Transport Minister Anthony Loke, accusing him of a pattern of cancelling projects only to later revive them — often with the same contractors or alignments.
“Loke seems to have a habit of cancelling projects first, then reviving them himself, which only causes delays,” See-To wrote, lacing his critique with sarcasm.

He cited several examples: the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) alignment to the Thai border, cancelled in 2019 but revived in 2025; the Klang Valley Double Tracking 2 (KVDT2) project, cancelled in 2018 but re-awarded in 2019 to the same contractor; and the KLIA Aerotrain, cancelled in 2023 under Loke’s ministry but reinstated in early 2024 with the original contractor.
