KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 24— Former economy minister Rafizi Ramli has claimed that businessman Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak, once an aide to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, has built significant influence within PKR since 2019. Speaking on his podcast, Rafizi said Farhash was leading his own faction by 2022, known as the “geng baju hitam,” positioning themselves as staunch defenders of Anwar. Before that, Farhash was queueing up outside Anwar’s room in the Cheras Hospital to meet the PKR president. Rafizi added that a whistleblower later approached him with allegations tying Farhash to a Sabah mining scandal. He further suggested that an assault on his son might be linked to his meeting with the whistleblower. Farhash has denied any involvement.
