DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke Siew Fook has stressed that the party will not use government funds to finance its political programmes. Speaking at a fundraising dinner in Ipoh, he said government allocations belong to the people and must be directed towards national development, not party activities.

Loke noted that strong grassroots support was evident as members willingly purchased dinner tickets, showing commitment to the party’s struggle.
He emphasised the importance of separating party and government, saying public funds should not be misused. Loke, also Transport Minister, reaffirmed the unity government’s focus on strengthening the economy and improving people’s welfare.
