US President Donald Trump has imposed 50% tariffs on Indian imports, aiming to pressure New Delhi into reducing its purchases of discounted Russian crude oil. According to Vice President JD Vance, the tariffs are part of “aggressive economic leverage” to force Moscow to halt its war in Ukraine.

However, India rejected the criticism, insisting its energy policy is driven by national interests. External Affairs Minister S.
