Police have arrested two men for allegedly posting seditious content and criminal threats on social media platform X.

Bukit Aman CID director Datuk M Kumar said the suspects, aged 37 and 43, were detained by the Classified Criminal Investigation Unit after their accounts, @ChongKahtze and @Ifactoreal, made inflammatory posts about Malaysia being “taken over by extremists” and a supposed attack on the Prime Minister’s residence.
One suspect was remanded for two days, while the other until August 28. The cases are being investigated under the Sedition Act, Penal Code and Communications and Multimedia Act. Kumar warned stern action against similar offences.
